Anti Tobacco Songwriting Contest

Write some stellar lyrics.
Win some serious cash.

Write a catchy tune about the evils of Big Tobacco and you could win up to $500 in cash.

Here’s how it works:
· Write a song that fits the theme “Tear Down Tobacco Lies.”
· Record that song and send us an mp3 or CD, along with the text of the lyrics (see contact info below)
· Our judges will sort through the entries and pick a winner and a runner-up
· The winner will receive $500—runner-up gets $250

Here’s what you need to know:
• We WON’T judge you on sound quality, voice, instrumental talent, etc. So belt it out and don’t worry what you sound like.
• We WILL judge you on originality and whether or not the song conveys the anti-tobacco message.
•  If you send us something dirty, explicit, violent or pro Big Tobacco, we’ll throw your entry out.
• Every piece of your song must be original. Diddy can sample. You cannot.
• We’ll ask you to sign a release so we can put your stuff on the Raze website. So don’t send us anything you wouldn’t want your friends or your mother to see.
• Deadline for entries is March 25, 2009
• We’ll announce the winners May 9, 2009.

Here’s where to send your song:
